Students in Mrs. Baker's class participate in demonstrating The Six Pillars of Character! This helps us build our character education to determine, ourselves, what good choices are and how to make them.

Trustworthiness- think "true blue"

Respect- think about "The Golden Rule"

Responsibilty- think about taking care of a garden or your finances

Fairness- think of diving an orange into equal sections to share

Caring- think of a heart

Citizenship- think regal purple as representing the state

Students also have the opportunity every month to earn a "Character Counts" card. Every month is a different Character Pillar. If a student demonstrates the pillar of the month during that month, they earn a card. They write their name on the back of the card and put it into their classroom Character Counts jar. At the end of the month, the student(s) that has the most character cards receives a special reward!
